Valley Presbyterian Foundation
How Can I Invest in the Foundation?
Depending on your financial goals, there are a variety of ways in which you can invest in the future of Valley Presbyterian Church through our Foundation
Outright Gifts
The most immediate way to support Valley's future is to make an outright gift. This type of gift can be made in the form of cash, securities, real estate or other valuables. You can make an outright gift at any time of your life and will generally qualify for a tax deduction.
Memorials
Another way to support the Foundation is to recognize or honor a loved one or friend with a memorial gift in their name. Memorials may be made at any time and in any amount. This is a meaningful gift that lives on in the service of others and again will generally qualify as a tax deduction.
Bequests
One of the simplest ways to support the Foundation is with a bequest in your Will. Through such a bequest you can designate the Foundation as the direct beneficiary of the specific asset, a portion of your estate, or of the residual after payment of other bequests.
Life Insurance
A life insurance gift is another easy way to make a significant contribution. You can do this in a number of ways: give a policy you no longer need, take out a new policy, or name the Valley Presbyterian Foundation as the beneficiary of an existing policy. This again is the type of gift that may provide you with income and estate tax savings.
Life Income Gifts
Life Income gifts provide immediate benefits to the donor, or the donor's family, and future benefits to the Foundation. IN this manner you can designate income for yourself and/or others for your lifetime, or a term of years, after which the Foundation receives the principle. These types of gifts also offer great tax advantages.
Valley Presbyterian Foundation's structure offers versatility to meet your financial plan's requirements. Your Foundation Trustees look forward to an opportunity to meet with you personally to answer any of your questions. Your Foundation Board will work in partnership with your financial, tax and/or legal advisors concerning gift arrangements you are considering. Look for the Foundation Trustees wearing green nametags either before or after the Sunday worship services, or you may call Kris Bahr at the church office, 480-991-6424 to ask for someone to contact you.
