Who is the Divorce Recovery program appropriate for? Ö Anyone negotiating divorce How is your workshop structured? A short topic will be covered each week followed by group discussion that is facilitated by a trained leader. We usually place eight to ten people in a group. Do I have to be a Christian or attend your church in order to participate? No. While this is a Christian program, we welcome all people. Our desire is to bring comfort and hope to those who are hurt and confused as a result of marital breakdown. Is there a children's program?Valley Presbyterian has a youth program already in place (from infants through High School age) that runs at the same time our divorce recovery program is in session. Please give us any information that can help us know how to help you or your child. |
If you feel you can commit to this eight-week program, download and print an application form, and mail it in with a registration fee of $25. You will receive an email confirmation within a few days. Or you can call Mary Ulick at 480.991.6424 ext 120 if you would like more information, or are requesting a scholarship. |
About Divorce Recovery at Valley
Did you know that our surrounding zip codes have a higher percentage of divorce than most other Arizona zip codes? Our desire at Valley Presbyterian is to wrap our arms around children and adults at the same time by providing intentional support around issues that families, as well as the adult who is not parenting, face while negotiating the divorce process.

Mary has directed divorce recovery programs in churches for eighteen years. She has also been involved in the oversight of other support groups and assisted in launching several other divorce recovery programs. Mary is a child of divorce, and has raised three children as a single parent. These experiences created a deep sense of compassion for others who are facing divorce. She has a strong belief that taking this journey in the context of Christian community can lead to insight, healing and a whole new life perspective. |
