Reading Program

Adults and Youth may share their time and talents in helping children learn to read.

A Volunteer Orientation Program will be held at the KEYS Center on both

Sept 18 & 20, 3:30-5:30. Volunteer opportunities are available for either Tuesdays or Thursdays. On those days, our church van will leave the south parking lot at 2:45 pm and return by 6:15 pm.

Other volunteer opportunities to participate at the KEYS Community Center are:

·         Accompanying children on field trips.

·         Assisting teachers with arts and crafts, and teaming with children during learning projects such as creating collages, paper mache, and physical education.

Valley is looking for individuals and families to form a new Church Team.

Church volunteer teams are matched with Bridge families to encourage and love the family along the road to     recovery.  Teams plan fun outings with the family and develop special friendships while modeling healthy family interactions.

Volunteers are needed as host/esses and to help serve at the Bridge Thanksgiving Dinner and Celebration held, this year, here at VPC, November 15, 5:30-8 pm in Landes Center.

Facilitate evening SUCCESS Groups (budgeting, nutrition, parenting class, organizational, boundaries, Celebrate Recovery, living as a single parent, anger management, other life skills.)

Tutor school aged children

If you have a loving lap to hold infants, a desire to help young children make good decisions or an interest in organizing games for older children, you can help by providing childcare at Bridge Dinners on the 3rd Thursday of each month.
