Dr. Ron Pyle:  Ron Pyle completed his PH.D. at the University of Washington.  He has two master’s degrees, one in speech communication and one in theology.  He wrote the national training manual for Young Life.  His doctoral research reflects his interests in public address, rhetoric and religious communication.  During his 1999 sabbatical, he studied African-American preaching and the process of analyzing sermons rhetorically.  Currently he is training university faculty and staff to serve as effective mentors to students.  He has been voted “Most Influential Professor on Campus” for several years by Whitworth College students.

J. D. Hill:  Whenever memories of great athletes making game breaking plays in the NCAA and the NFL are envisioned, JD Hill emerges to the forefront as one of the best athletes to ever play the game.  During a stellar athletic career at ASU, JD lettered and excelled in three major sports; baseball, football and track, an accomplishment that resulted in a NCAA record that still stands today.  He led ASU to an undefeated 1970 season, was named unanimous First Team All American and MVP of the Senior Bowl, Collegiate Offensive Player of the Year, ASU and Stockton California Hall of Fame.  In 1971, JD was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the first round.  He was selected as NFL All-pro and competed in the NFL Pro-bowl.  Today, JD is founder of Catch the Vision Ministry.

Jim Horsley:  Jim’s professional career includes 200 missions as a highly decorated Navy combat pilot and over 150 air shows as a demonstration pilot with the world famous Blue Angeles.  Upon completion of his military service, he entered commercial real estate development and ran his own company.  Jim spent nine years in major gift fundraising and senior leadership in a world-wide humanitarian organization and led 12 major donor vision trips to Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia, including two visits to North Vietnam.  In 2005 he joined Pro Athletes Outreach as Chief Operating Officer.  His focus is on developing ministry conferences around the country to help coaches and their spouses expand the impact of their platform with kids.
