April Hike
Go John Trail in Cave Creek Recreation Area

The April hike will be the Go John Trail in the Cave Creek Recreation Area. The hike has an elevation gain of 800 feet; P>Recommended attire: hiking boots, hat, and sunscreen and a sack lunch. Don’t forget lots of water! Bring your camera for the beautiful wild flowers.
The hike has a distance of 4.9 miles; and estimated time of 2+ hours. Please meet in the church parking lot by 8:00am; 9:00am in the parking lot by the Go John Trailhead of the Cave Creek Recreation Area. Parking is $5 per car, so you may want to carpool.
Directions:
From the East, take Scottsdale Road north pass El Pedegral shopping center, and turn left (west) on to AZ-74/E, Carefree Hwy. Go about 5 miles and turn right (north) onto 32nd Street. Continue 1 1/2 miles to the Cave Creek Recreation Area.
From the West and Central Phoenix, take Tatum Blvd., turn right onto Cave Creek or take Cave Creek Road; turn left (west) on to AZ-74/E. Carefree Hwy, and turn right (north) onto 32nd Street. Continue 1 1/2 miles to the Cave Creek Recreation Area. Pay parking fee. Follow signs to Go John Trailhead. Restrooms are available.
